The 16th Japan Earthquake Engineering Symposium (16JEES) will be held as follows:

Dates: Thursday, November 23 – Saturday, November 25, 2023
Venue: PACIFICO Yokohama North 4F (in-person format)
Abstract submission deadline: May 8, 2023

The theme of 16JEES is “A century after the Kanto Earthquake, an outlook into earthquake engineering in the next century — Learning from the past, towards a sustainable society resilient to compound catastrophic disasters.”

16JEES is organized by 12 academic societies in Japan related to earthquake engineering, seismology, and disaster science. The Japan Society for Earthquake Engineering (JAEE) is in charge of hosting this event.

JAEE organizes ‘International Session’ to exchange the scientific and technical information on earthquakes and to enhance the collaboration among participants. We would like to invite you to deliver the presentation on your research works related to the earthquake engineering.
