English Session in JAEE Annual Meeting 2022

The English Session in JAEE Annual Meeting is aimed at disseminating state-of-the-art earthquake engineering research and providing an opportunity of presentations and discussions in English for Japanese researchers, practitioners, international students, etc. This English session succeeds the JAEE international symposium held in 2012-2015.

We call for contribution of the papers on earthquake engineering and related fields to be presented in the English Session in addition to the regular sessions. Young researchers and international students are particularly encouraged to join the English session. Excellent Presentation Awards will be presented to the outstanding presentation among young researchers.

Note that papers that contain political claims, religious claims, commercial advertising, or slanderous content will be rejected.

In case that the meeting is canceled due to the pandemic situation or any other reason, the fee paid will be returned with excluding expenses.

Please submit your application before the deadline with Member information, Eligibility of Excellent Presentation Award, Information of Representative (Representative name, affiliation, title/grade degree, contact (Address, phone number, e-mail address)), Information of submitting paper (Type, Category, Title, Author(s)), Keywords (up to 4 words). Submit your paper along with the application for presentation. Please see the following for details.

Eligibility for Excellent Presentation Award

“Excellent Presentation Award” will be presented to candidate presenters who are eligible for the award. The candidates should satisfy the following conditions:

  • Submitted a paper as first-author and had a presentation.
  • The age of 35 or younger at the end of the fiscal year of the annual meeting (Born after April 1st, 1987).

We expect many young researchers and students to submit and present papers. We recommend non-JAEE members to become a member on this occasion.
