Special seminar

We are welcoming, as a speaker for this special seminar, Representative Tadayoshi Nagashima currently a member of the Lower House (formerly mayor of the town of Yamakoshimura), who played a significant role in as town mayor at the time of the Great Chuuetsu Earthquake.

As a result of this experience, we are actively pursuing the political principles that "We will protect our people's peace of mind and safety, and will seek to deploy and expand the social capital associated with regional development." and "In addition to from disaster recovery, all activities will be directed towards a vibrant society that will pursue dreams and aspirations for the future of the region, with the conviction that 'speed is essential'". During the Great Chuuetsu Earthquake, everyone talked about how he, as mayor, took command in his unshaven, disaster attire. We will hear, for example, of his experiences on the scene as mayor during the earthquake disaster and as top administrator, and of his activities as a member of the National Diet, and we hope that this seminar will, in addition, serve an opportunity for discussion, so that such an earthquake disaster will not be repeated. Once you have gone about inviting one another to this event, we will most definitely be looking forward to seeing a great many of you there.
