2026年7月28日午後4時27分頃（日本時間）に熊本県熊本地方において，マグニチュード7.1（気象庁）の地震が発生し、熊本県宇城市と氷川町で震度７が観測されました。この地震では津波も発生しました。

At approximately 4:27 p.m. on July 28, 2026 (Japan Standard Time), an earthquake with a magnitude of 7.1 (Japan Meteorological Agency) struck the Kumamoto region of Kumamoto Prefecture, and seismic intensity level 7 was recorded in Uki City and Hikawa Town, Kumamoto Prefecture. The earthquake also triggered a tsunami.
